On December 11, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, together with the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Chairman of the city of Dushanbe, respected Rustami Emomali, took part in the presentation ceremony of 36 new buses and 69 new trolleybuses in Dushanbe.
AKIA ULTRA LE8 intracity buses, 8 meters long, designed for 64 passengers, are produced at the Akia Avesto Avtomativ Industry joint venture of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The new buses have many advantages in terms of speed, weight and shorter travel distances on narrower streets.
Based on the decision of the Executive body of state power of the city of Dushanbe, from the beginning of 2020, the Akia Avesto Avtomativ Industry joint venture for the first time began the serial production of intracity buses under the Tajik name Akia Oriyo.
In accordance with the plan, by the end of this year, the joint venture will produce a total of 50 buses and deliver them to the transport enterprises of the capital.
The buses are produced in accordance with Euro 5 international standards and have engines from Mercedes Benz and the German company Zahnrad Fabrik. All prefabricated parts are imported with a special guarantee and high quality from well-known European and Turkish companies.
The new buses are equipped with heating and cooling equipment, stairs for the disabled, which will ensure the safety and transportation of passengers.
During the presentation of the new trolleybuses, it was informed that before the
celebration of the 30th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, the production process of this type of passenger transport will be fully launched on the basis of the Akia Avesto company in Dushanbe. Trolleybuses of domestic production are designed for 100 seats.
